Get Over It Productions are an all-female theatre company which was founded in 2004 by Paula Benson, Sonia Kamel, Tania Kieffer, Telma Rocha and Velenzia Spearpoint. Largely based in physical theatre, the founding members of Get Over It Productions are veterans of the Edinburgh Fringe where they have collectively devised and performed their own and others work (Café Royal 2001-2004) including collaborations with new writers, in particular, Alison Trower, playwright and poet, with whom they staged her “Rice Trilogy” (Lillian Bayliss Theatre, Sadler’s Wells 2004). For the last 10 years they have been a stalwart of the Camden Fringe producing and performing innovative all-female versions of the Bard’s classics. They are also continuing to work with new writers and produce female-centric plays such as ‘The Vagina Monologues’ and Nicholas Shelton’s ‘Deathline’.
Part of our process is to invite women who are embarking on their careers thus enabling them to experience their first foray into the professional arena.
